Bluefiun Tamashii Nations announces (http://tamashii.jp/special/alien/) that "Big Chap" - the Giger-designed creature in 1979's ALIEN - will be joining their S.H.MonsterArts action figure series.

The figure will measure approximately 7 inches tall (180mm) and will feature all the extreme articulation that S.H.MonsterArts is known for, some highlights including:


Opening jaw with extending inner jaw
Long bone tail bone divided into 18 articulated pieces
Triple joint at the base of the neck for an extreme forward tilt
Abdominal joint for crouching
Die-cast knee joints for increased stability


The S.H.MonsterArts Alien Big Chap is scheduled for release in Japan this May priced at 5,940 yen (summer U.S. release, approx. $58).
