There's No Stopping The Outlandish Mini Figure Guys...

Started back in 2011, OMFG (Outlandish Mini Figure Guys) is October Toys' answer to the 80's nostalgia of M.U.S.C.L.E. (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere). A fan project if there ever was one, OMFG is fully designed, chosen and funded by collectors. First, hundreds of character concepts are submitted for consideration in the series. Next, the community gathers and votes on their top 5 favorite designs to actually be produced as an OMFG figure. Lastly, the assortment is placed on Kickstarter, where for only a $10 pledge you can help make the project a reality AND score yourself a set if the project is successfully funded.

Affordable and fun, OMFG has been a success for three years now; OMFG Series 3 being the latest wave to see production. Just released to those that backed the project, Series 3 stars five new truly outlandish characters, including:
Dr. Decay by Jonathan Wojcik & George Gaspar
Pugnacious by BillMacKay & George Gaspar
Barbarianaut by Charles Marsh
Fruit Punch by Scott Tolleson & George Gaspar
TenCan by Richard Brown & Nikolos Sardos & Bryan Fulk
Every OMFG packs at least one design that really speaks to me and for Series 3 it's the Barbarianaut. A space barbarian? What's not to love! Fruit Punch is a funny nod to the Kool-Aid Man ("Oh yeah!"), TenCan has this retro Garbage Pail Kids vibe to it (love the tentacles), Dr. Decay continues the undead theme started with Series 1's Multiskull (read our review HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/14725-october-toys-omfg-series-1-a.html)), and Pugnacious... it's a muscled anthropomorphic dog/human crossbreed which sadly doesn't do much for me. But hey, four out of five ain't bad. Especially at $10.
And that $10 spent is so much more than just getting some fun toys. It's that nerdy satisfaction that YOU helped create them.
