Yesterday, Activision announced the latest installment in their popular Skylanders franchise: Skylanders SWAP Force (see our story HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/24072-skylanders-swap-force.html)). Today, new images have been released revealing several new character/ toys from the game. These include two new SWAP Force characters (16 will be offered) - Blast Zone and Wash Buckler - along with a look at two of the possible combinations you create when both toys are owned: Blast Buckler and Wash Zone. The new play pattern – dynamic swapability – allows players to create more than 250 unique character combinations. Check out the video below to see even more SWAP Force characters and combos.

Also revealed is Stealth Elf, a returning fan-favorite character, now with new powers.

In total, more than 50 collectible characters will see release for Skylanders SWAP Force including:

• 16 new SWAP Force characters
• 16 new Core Skylanders characters
• 8 LightCore Skylanders characters
• 16 new versions of fan-favorite Skylanders from the previous games, each featuring an all new “Wow Pow” upgrade power

Also, for the first time, Skylanders SWAP Force will introduce new abilities – such as flying, climbing, digging, bouncing, or teleporting – which can be used in previously unexplored areas of Skylands centered on these play mechanics. And, seasoned fans can play Skylanders SWAP Force with their entire collection of characters from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants. Skylanders SWAP Force delivers a diverse and dynamic, story-driven gameplay experience, filled with adventure, combat, puzzles, mini games, and drop-in/drop-out co-op - all set within compelling environments.

Skylanders SWAP Force is scheduled for release this fall for the Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and handheld and mobile devices.
