As announced yesterday (see HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/16360-weta-launch-dota-2-range.html)), Weta had announced an agreement to create and market collectible statues, weapons and armor from Valve’s Dota 2 online video game. The first of those collectibles has now been revealed to be "Axe". Shipping April-June 2013, Axe is an 11-inch tall cold cast polystone statue. Priced at $249, the intricately detailed piece is limited to only 1000. In the box with your Axe statue you will also find a unique DOTA 2 in-game item, designed by the crew at Weta. Pre-orders are currently open at wetanz.com/axe.
Other DOTA 2 items just revealed and available for pre-order include several full scale replica weapons. These include The Butterfly Sword ($249 - wetanz.com/butterfly), The Demon Edge Sword ($299 - wetanz.com/demon-edge) and The Vanguard Shield ($299 - wetanz.com/vanguard).
