CS Moore is probably best known for his large-scale statues, and those were in full force at the San Diego Comic-Con booth this year with plenty of great deals for the fans. The highlight was the unveiling of Magdalena, available for the first time here. The statue was so “fresh,” that it wasn’t available until Thursday; Wednesday night Clayburn was touching up minor imperfections from the rush shipment from China! (The statues are perfect; there was a slight marring of the varnish on the base.) Other hot new statues included the Sneyd Mermaid and Dean Yeagle’s Mandy.
Also on display at the CS Moore booth was a variety of Zenoscope Grimm Fairy Tales figures from the 2012 SDCC Exclusive red Alice in Wonderland (as well as blue and white versions). Prototypes were on hand for the next releases Calie and Queen of Hearts and Fairy Tales “Grimmies” mini-figures. Also on display were the first two Jurassic Strike Force 5 figures (Rex and Spike) and Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide Pitt & Sasquatch.
Finally, CS Moore is getting into the art toy scene with a new paint-your-own figure. Based on a chihuahua, the Mondo-Chi is an SDCC exclusive blank figure. To give you inspiration, the booth also had on display a bunch of painted and differently colored Mondos.
