The news that Bridge Direct will be making action figures from the upcoming HOBBIT movies has many fans concerned (see THE HOBBIT Toy License Awarded to "The Bridge" (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/14185-hobbit-toy-license-awarded-bridge.html)). Part of that concern is whether or not the new figures will be in scale with Toy Biz's extensive collection. I understand this worry, as there will be new characters introduced with the new films that I would love to have commingle with my past LOTR figs. However, my greatest concern is whether or not the new figures can live up to the high standards set by Toy Biz. This was an incredibly good run of action figures - not just in character selection (read: everyone imaginable, including director Peter Jackson as a hobbit), but in detailed sculpt, articulation and accessories. We'll know the answers to both questions soon enough as the first chapter, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, opens in theaters next year.
