Twisted parodies of adorable playthings have often been a recipe for success. It worked for the Living Dead Dolls, and to some extent, The Superfun Company's Toxic Teddies. While some of the designs were in poor taste ("Bye-Bye", "Smackie"), others clicked with horror hounds; "The Killer" and "Buzzy" humorously imitating scream greats Jason and Leatherface. Toxic Teddies went on to Series 4 before trading in the violence for rock 'n' roll, the non-Toxic Teddies taking on the part of The Ramones and Misfits.
