As mentioned in our Comic-Con coverage (see our story HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/13739-sdcc11-sucker-punch-star-wars-marvel.html)), Gentle Giant will be releasing a new Star Wars-themed Holiday Bust this year for Premier Guild members. Based on the 2010 LucasFilm holiday greeting card featuring Darth Vader releasing a white dove, the Holiday Bust can be displayed without the dove, thus transforming the piece to more accurately reflect the pivotal scene from The Empire Strikes Back.
Additionally, members of the Gentle Giant Premier Guild will have the opportunity to order the deluxe version of the mini-bust with an interchangeable Vader hand holding C-3PO's disembodied head. Inspired from the Dark Horse comic, and also reprinted and packaged with the bust, is the complete “Thank the Maker” story from Star Wars Tales #6, giving a close look at what truly happened to C-3PO on that fateful day in Cloud City.
Premier Guild members can pre-order the Darth Vader Holiday Bust now priced at $75.
