After an extended break from producing action figures, sculptor Clayburn Moore announces the exciting news that he will be returning to the art form next year. Together with comics publisher Zenescope Entertainment, Mr. Moore and his company CS Moore Studio will create a special edition Alice Liddle action figure to celebrate the 1st issue of the upcoming Wonderland comic series. Alice will be the first figure in a collectible's line called Grimm Fairy Tales Originals, 7-inch fully articulated and accessoried figures based on Zenescope's stable of sexy comic characters.
"Alice is a great looking character and so my goal is to sculpt one of the most gorgeous action figures ever," said Moore.
The Alice Liddle action figure is scheduled to ship in Spring 2012 to coincide with the release of Grimm Fairy Tales #75. As a special bonus, Alice will be come packaged with a copy of Wonderland #1. Future figures planned for release in the Grimm Fairy Tales Originals line include Snow White.
Clayburn Moore's past action figure contributions helped revolutionize the industry in the late '90s. Widely regarded as a master of sculpting the female form, his lovely figures transcended the traditional world of mass market toys with a class of collectibles many consider art. As detailed as a fine resin sculpture but retailing for a fraction of the cost, Moore's action figures attracted fans with not only their good looks, but their equally attractive price tag.
