San Diego Comic-Con coverage brought to you by Tonner (http://www.tonnerdirect.com), Collectibles Insurance (http://www.collectinsure.com/), and Big Bad Toy Store (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/default.aspx).
When it comes to showing at San Diego Comic-Con, Funko is all about selling exclusives. Everything on display is a show exclusive, Wacky Wobblers, POP!, and more all featuring variant Con-exclusive color schemes.
New Disney POP! (see our story HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/13633-sdcc11-disney-store-launches-new-vinylmation-robots.html)) was a one major attraction, the first limited edition run of vinyl figures making their debut at the event. The series included a 9-inch Metallic Buzz Lightyear and Metallic Maleficent ($50 each), as well as 3-inch Disney figures including a flocked Sully, glow-in-the-dark Mike Wazowski, metallic Mickey Mouse, and a blue Mr. Incredible (all $15 each).

Other popular Funko properties were offered as well, including a slew of Marvel (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2705&title=funko&cat=584) and DC (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2694&title=funko&cat=584) superheroes, Star Wars (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2685&title=funko&cat=584), Gremlins (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2688&title=funko&cat=584), new Street Fighter (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2686&title=funko&cat=584), and cool General Mills (http://sdcc11.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2695&title=funko&cat=584) cereal characters.

While Funko's hallmark Wacky Wobblers were still being sold, the majority of product offered had shifted to Funko's adorable new POP! format - a popular stylized minifigure form. An all-new Funko format also debuted at Comic-Con called BLOX, "Vinyl With An Edge". These approximately 9-inch tall DC and General Mills' creations were flat - about a half-inch thick - and the verdict is still out whether I'm sold on the style. It's certainly different!
