Halo.xbox.com announces that McFarlane Toys will be releasing a Halo 10th anniversary action figure of the Master Chief. This special platinum-painted version of John-117 comes armed with his trusty Assault Rifle and will debut first at this year's San Diego Comic-Con before it hits stores in August, along with the rest of the Halo: Anniversary line.

Additionally, as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Halo franchise, Toys"R"Us and Entertainment Earth will be hosting a special event at San Diego Comic-Con. On Thursday, July 21, from 10 to 11:30 AM at Entertainment Earth booth #2343, Todd McFarlane will be available to autograph the exclusive Halo Anniversary Master Chief Platinum action figure.

Well this is disappointing, This has to be the least creative and ugly looking figure I've seen for a SDCC exclusive, I thought they were done with Halo and was expecting something from Halo Reach. This wouldn't be too bad if they weren't using a recycled idea, they gave away gold plated master chiefs with the halo points system. I know all about how they have limited funding for exclusives but spray painting a figure a different colour, a colour that isn't even practical, that's just weak. Apologies If I'm coming on too strong but that's just my opinion.

No apologies needed. You voice the thoughts of many (myself included). The big joke now is, what's next - bronze?
