NECA's continues their trip down memory lane with the addition of two new nostaligic 80's properties: RAMBO and EVIL DEAD 2. This follows last month's announcement that 1987's RoboCop will be seeing new toys (see our story HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/12995-company-lands-robocop-license.html)).
NECA's Head of Product Development Randy Falk confirmed the good news and elaborated on their plans. For Rambo, NECA is starting off with 7 inch action figures of Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo as seen in the first three movies. If all goes well, more are possible. These are scheduled to see release in 2012. Because Rambo figures are still in the planning stages, they will not be previewed at San Diego Comic-Con.
With Army of Darkness figures already under their belt, NECA is eager to return to the franchise with Evil Dead 2. Fans will see a new action figure of Ash in addition to some other surprises. Prototypes and full details will be unveiled at Comic-Con with the first figure(s) being eyed for a Halloween 2011 release.
If the news of Rambo and Evil Dead 2 wasn't exciting enough, Randy informs us that even more licenses will be announced at Comic-Con.
