According to Deadline (http://www.deadline.com/2011/04/arnold-schwarzenegger-is-back-as-terminator-fast-fives-justin-lin-to-direct/), Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking to return to his iconic role as The Terminator. The movie, which doesn't have a script or firm release date yet, is being being shopped as a package involving Arnold and Fast Five director Justin Lin. Deadline states that "Universal, Sony and Lionsgate, and CBS Films are looking hard at the package."

What are your thoughts? Is this the big comeback role for Arnold or does the thought of 63 year-old Terminator make you cringe?

I need to know more, what's the plot, setting, time frame... will it continue from T3, TS, or be a stand alone movie, related, but independent of the other films?

I agree, it's all very vague now. All we know is that Justin Lin would direct (I see Fast Five this weekend, I'll judge him later) and Arnold will return (cyborg? human?)

I know I'd like to see more of the future war, like the experiences that future Kyle Reese had in the first Terminator movie. Basically a war movie, in the way that Aliens took the Alien movie and pumped it up bigger and piled on the action. That gave us the added thrill of the Aliens Queen, more Alien knowledge and new technology.

Oh, totally. I think that's why many were disappointed with Teminator: Salvation. They had the opportunity to present that cool future war as hinted in 1 and 2 and didn't deliver. I want that flashback scene from T1 expanded on... greatly.

Yes, the thought of a 63 - year old Terminator does make me cringe.....a lot. I even find his return to be a little offensive to the trilogy in fact, It was a fantastic series of movies and I am a huge fan of Terminator but ruining it by bringing him back when he's 63 with no muscle anymore, honestly how is that going to look?

I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, i have assumed in the above paragraph that they are going to bring him back as the Terminator himself when they are probably not going to make such a bad move. Terminator Salvation was supposed to be the beginning of a new trilogy of films so i believe they will hopefully fit him in as a new character which will be great to see , I will be happy to see his return as long as he isn't actually playing the Terminator :D

I thought they signed on for another Terminator trilogy with TS being number 4 followed by two sequels?

Maybe that got the axe? At any rate I'm all for another Terminator movie with Arnold. But c'mon get a better director than Justin Lin.
