An object of much debate amongst Star Wars fans – is whether Greedo shot first. Actually, there is no debate amongst the fans but they tend to lean against the official Lucasfilm changes to the original Star Wars film where Bounty Hunter Greedo attempts to shoot Han but misses. In Sideshow Collectibles’ new MOS EISLEY CANTINA 12” Figure Environment, you can settle your own version of the movie once and for all. But if you read the background on the box, there’s no escaping that Greedo shot first.

The limited edition environment is priced at www.sideshowtoy.com (http://affiliates.sideshowtoy.com/Tracker.aspx?aid=6&href=http%3a%2f%2fwww.sideshowtoy.com%2f%3fpage_id %3d4489%26sku%3d100020%26ref%3dsearch%26100020) for $89.99, a perfect display piece for Han Solo and the new 12” Greedo that Sideshow just released. Unfortunately I have yet to obtain my Rodian bounty hunter so Hasbro’s figure will do in the mean time. The Cantina is still available and can earn you 90 points... AND is gift card eligible!

The packaging for the Mos Eisley Cantina matches the visual style of the previous Star Wars Sideshow releases. You get full color photography on all sides showcasing the furniture as well as the usual frame grabs from the film. The chairs and table are secured within large pieces of Styrofoam which does a good job protecting the environment.

The two chairs are identical and can seat one 12” figure each. The table has a nice LED light-up feature that really adds to the atmosphere (three batteries are included). Also included are three beverage accessories, one blue, one green, and one pink.

The Sideshow Collectibles Design Team have done a great job tooling and painting this environment, which really does make the Star Wars display that much more colorful. While I didn’t initially think this environment was as necessary as the Emperor’s Throne, this set has become the thing that really brings the display to life.

For collectors who already have Han Solo and planning on Greedo, definitely take the extra effort to acquire this iconic environment. I was never too thrilled with how Han Solo looked just standing around but when seated, it’s something else entirely. A bit of caution, however, this is a gateway purchase. Once you own it, you will want nothing more than to fill in the rest of your display with Cantina patrons. And wasn’t that the very thing that made Star Wars fun to begin with?
