As Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics toy line continues to grow at an exponential rate, collectors are having to find a place to store all the spare weapons they have laying around. Come April 15th, fans will finally have a a way to display all their unique Eternian weaponry as the new Masters of the Universe Classics Weapons Rack will be available for order on mattycollector.com. This new assorted weapons pack is the third of its kind, but this time around the Horseman have thrown in a little something extra in the form of an awesome wooden weapon rack styled after the original Castle Grayskull play set from the eighties.

The packaging for this set follows in the standard tradition of previous weapon packs and is housed within a giant square blister-card. The back of the package showcases several of the previously-released MOTUC figures including Battle Armor He-Man, Skeletor, Tri-Klops, King Randor, Stratos, Teela, Buzz-Off and even an Eternian Palace Guard. The back presentation gives the toy a very retro look as result of the figure showcase but it would have been great if Mattel would have included a bio card for the weapons rack since it is such an iconic part of the MOTUC collection.

This new army-building set features several great weapons in two different color deco’s metallic crimson and aged metal. Among the weapons included in the set you will find a worn metal repaint of Scareglow and Whiplash’ spears along as well as metallic crimson versions of the Man-At-Arm's dagger and Eternian Palace Guard axe. The weapons rack features extensive wood grain detailing and metal-like accents throughout which significantly enhance the overall look of the piece such as heavy-duty ornate legs and decorative rings. The rack features an abundance of rubber pegs scattered throughout its surface on which weapons can be hung on or slid between for storage. The rack looks fantastic once you fill it up with weapons and this new piece makes for a great diorama scene display.

A great looking diorama accessory has been long overdue in the MOTUC collection and it is really great to finally have something else to display within the collection. With great accessories like this being released, I hope it is but a taste of what's to come. I'm definitely crossing my fingers for more diorama-type pieces like this or perhaps some mini play sets and hopefully we will finally have a brand new Castle Grayskull in which to display our weapons rack inside in the near future.
