Kotobukiya, the same company that brought you the innovative Star Wars Lightsaber Chopsticks, is at it again - this time bringing the popular anime Evangelion to the culinary world. Now you can eat sushi or Chinese take-out with style, as Rei Ayanami (orange) and Shinji Ikari (purple) steer the chopsticks around your food, although results may vary!

Each chopstick measures nine inches long and passes all food safety tests. The chopsticks themselves are clear and can take some getting used to due to their smooth texture, especially if you’re accustomed to wooden chopsticks.

The sculpt on the miniscule pilots is fairly well done but the globs of paint I imagine are the most difficult to perfect. But judging it from these photographs is definitely unfair, as our human eyes wouldn’t be able to notice the detail.

Each pair of chopsticks will cost approximately $12 and there’s more characters on the way. Visit Kotobukiya’s web store (http://store.kotous.com/chopsticks/neon-genesis-evangelion-entry-plug-chopsticks.html) to pre-order Asuka Shkinami Langley (red) and Mari Illustolius (yellow). Rei Ayanami and Shinji Ikari are now available in specialty stores and online.
