Following our story (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/12423-first-official-photos-new-thundercats-toys.html) earlier this week, Warner Bros. Consumer Products has graciously provided us with a new image from Bandai's new ThunderCats toyline. The figure in question is LION-O, part of the 8-inch Classic ThunderCats assortment which is sure to please fans of the original cartoon.

Looks awesome and well articulated, though what's up with those seams at the top of the thighs? Are those articulation points and the frontal quad muscle actually moves around the upper thigh with the lower thigh? If so, that's pretty cool and ingenious! Good way to blend the leg together over a articulation point!

I agree, the articulation looks great and the legs do look rather ingenius. If the toy comes out looking this good and with no metal pin joints, I'll be one happy 80s toy fan!

The shoulder articulation looks odd, though. The arms are clearly turned inward to hold the sword but don't appear to have bicep swivels. Maybe they're reverse ball and socket style like Microman toys? Or are they just oddly turned in with pin elbows that let his arms go only toward his body?

Lookin' good so far.

I can't wait to see my fave T-cat, Panthro.

And I hope they do both versions of Mumm-Ra -- shrivelled and bandaged, and huge and totally ripped.

Bring it on!

there are bicep cut joints - you can see them ever so slightly in the pic
