For a great selection of action figures and collectibles, check out BigBadToyStore.com (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com), BriansToys.com (http://www.brianstoys.com), ToyWiz.com, (http://www.toywiz.com) SmallJoes.com (http://smalljoes.com), PastGenerationToys.com (http://www.pastgenerationtoys.com), Urban-Collector.com (http://www.urban-collector.com/), MonkeyDepot.com (http://www.monkeydepot.com/), HobbyLinkJapan.com (http://www.hlj.com/), and Sekaido.com (http://www.yesanimation.com).

As a kid growing up in the '70s, there were four toy lines that dominated my life: Star Wars, Shogun Warriors, Battlestar Galactica, and the Micronauts. The latter were some of the most imaginative playthings a child could ask for; the toys consisting of slick sci-fi characters that could be mixed and matched with others in the series. My creativity ran wild with the likes of Acroyear, Time Traveler and Space Glider; all some of the coolest figures I've ever owned.
That said, imagine my surprise when Palisades Toys announced in 2002 that they would be bringing back the Micronauts. It was nostalgia to the nth degree. Palisades poured their heart and soul into the Micronauts comeback, using die-hard collectors of the vintage line to make sure their return was as authentic as could be. Alas, quality control issues plagued the line from the start (though my remakes of Acroyear, Space Glider and Membros are perfectly fine) and fan demand wasn't as high as anticipated (not everyone grew up with these awesome toys). Like abruptly waking from a pleasant dream, the return of the Micronauts was bitter sweet.
However, there is still hope for this incredible property. As announced late last year (see our story HERE (https://www.figures.com/forums/news/9543-toy-company-acquires-micronauts.html)), the Micronauts are now in the hands of Hasbro and a major motion picture is in development by J.J. Abrams. Here's hoping that a film tie-in can firmly resurrect this timeless toy line.
