What's garnering the most attention is an interview done with Christopher Nolan at Los Angeles Times' "Hero Complex." In it the Batman Begins director revealed the title of the third installment in the current Batman franchise due out in 2012: The Dark Knight Rises. If that wasn't enough to get the fanboys excited, he also briefly addressed the Caped Crusader's upcoming foes. Put simply, "it won't be the Riddler." Nolan also continues to buck the current Hollywood trend by shooting "DKR" in 2D!

Just as newsworthy, but still a bit farther off, James Cameron verified that he's working on not one but TWO sequels to Avatar! Variety revealed that the second film will be released in 2014, with Avatar 3 in 2015. Both Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana will be reprising their roles as Jake Sully and Neytiri respectively. No word yet on whether or not Cameron has figured out how to bring back Sigourney Weaver...

Finally, the Hobbit film inches slowly but surely toward the light of day. Following up on last week's casting announcements, no less than the Prime Minister John Key let the world know that the film WILL be shooting in New Zealand.
Which of these films are you looking forward to the most? How do you feel about this news? Leave a comment below and let us know!
