Yamato USA announces that they are taking on the anime series ZOIDS with a high-end collectible of the Shield Liger. A well known fighting vehicle in the series (and the old wind-up toy kits that inspired it), the Shield Liger will be produced as a large scale, fully painted and assembled die-cast action figure.

Measuring approximately 10.25" in length, the Shield Liger action figure will be comprised of 200 parts, around 80 in die-cast metal. The figure will feature extreme articulation - 24 points - including opening canopy, expanding E Shield, and adjustable weapons such as the Bazooka and Missile Pods.

The Shield Liger also includes a ZOIDS Core and six figures: Van Flyheight (Standing), Van Flyheight (Pilot), Fiona (Standing), Fiona (Pilot), Zeke (Standing), and Zeke (w/ Core). Both ZOIDS Core and Zeke with Core can be stored inside the figure. Additional accessories include up-grade parts - two kinds of fangs and Twin Beams for the tail, a display stand, and extra decal stickers.

The ZOIDS Shield Liger is slated for release January/ February 2011. It will ship in a flip top window box priced at a MSRP of $265.00.
