Original planned to be released as a Grindhouse action figure, NECA's Machete is now seeing release this fall along with its own movie. The figure features the character's trademark weapons and hyper detail. Look for it this September.

Robert Rodriguez's over the top action film stars Danny Trejo as a blade wielding Mexican out for revenge. After his production of Predators, Machete looks to further solidify Rodriguez as a fan favorite director. We got a glimpse of the movie at an exclusive invitation-only Machete party at Comic-Con. Held in a gated parking lot right outside the show, the event featured graffiti artists, low riders, professional dancers and tacos that were to die for (http://gallery.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=3112&title=machete&cat=624). The Machete clip we saw was intense starring the knife swinging hero taking out a host of bad guys in various, bloody ways. One scene featuring the creative use of a human organ as a rope had the audience in an uproar. Machete is crazy stylized hyper violence, just what the splatter fans and action geeks ordered.
