Weta is bringing fans a sculpture of the two hero "prawns" - Christopher Johnson and son - from Neill Blomkamp's hit sci-fi film, District 9.

They stand amid the rubble that is both their immediate source of nourishment and also offers a faint glimmer of hope to a people marooned.

The District 9 Christopher Johnson and Son: Prawns statue is sculpted in 1/6 scale by Weta Workshop sculptor David Meng, who designed and sculpted the prawns for the film. Pre-orders are currently being accepted at wetanz.com priced at $249.00. The sculpture is limited to 600 pieces.

This is great and all, but I must say I am disappointed that it isn't the PRAWN BATTLE SUIT! Weta needs to make that...NOW :)
