Dynamite Entertainment announces that they have acquired the Chaos! Comics' library and all assets associated, such as Evil Ernie, Smiley the Psychotic Button, Chastity, Purgatori, Jade, Omen, Bad Kitty, Cremator, and Lady Demon, with the exception of Lady Death. Chaos! Comics was the leading independent comics publisher of the 1990's known for its wild, never-before-seen characters, also functioning as one of the main instigators of the "bad girl" craze in comics.

"After announcing our acquisition of Vampirella, and now the Chaos! characters, Dynamite Entertainment is in possession of some of the most iconic horror characters in comic book history, with Evil Ernie possibly being the most iconic," says Dynamite Entertainment President Nick Barrucci. "Dynamite Entertainment has grown significantly these past several months with our acquisition of Dabel Bros., our publishing relationship with Liquid and Grant Morrison, and with several other more surprises coming up, we are aiming to be the most diverse publisher in comics!"

Wow! Good news!

I have missed the Chaos! universe so much. Yes I am reading the new Lady Death, but I really really want to see Purgi and Lucifer and all the gang too.

With the rights to Vampi under their belt too, I hope this means we can look forward to some cool crossovers.

And I really hope that someday there can be some kind of agreement reached so that Mr. Pulido & Lady Death can also rejoin the same universe (or they can rejoin his?).

And I'm hoping this will open the door to some more trade paperbacks. I think there are LOTS of people who would buy those up right away.

And last but not least, howsabout more TOYS someday? The Moore figs and the Dark Alliance series are still some of my all-time faves. I would love to see more characters from this universe in fig form too.

I'd love to get my hands on more Evil Ernie toys, but most importantly, SMILEY THE PSYCHOTIC BUTTON!!!!! :cool:
