With the ReAction back in their hands (previously a partnership with Funko), Super 7 is making a big push this year to expand the brand they created. Shown at Toy Fair were numerous new licenses that will receive the 3.75-inch ReAction treatment, including:
- Shogun Warriors: Great Mazinger, Mazinger-Z, Getter Dragun, Garada K7, Doublas M2, and Rokuron Q9. Available Spring/Summer 2017.
- Lord of Light: The art of the legendary comic book by Jack Kirby! Available this Summer.
- Planet of the Apes: Zira, Cornelius, General Ursus, Ape Soldier and Taylor. Coming this Fall!
- Toxic Avenger: Two colorways of Toxie were on display. Available in two weeks!
- Robotech: VF-1A, VF-1D, VF-1S, SDF-1, Zentradi Batlepod
- Alien Wave 3: Screen-Accurate Ripley, Dallas, Removable Head Ash, Brett, Parker, Lambert and Jonsey. Coming this Fall.
- Alien Wave 4: To be based on characters from the movie ALIENS!
- Alien Blind Boxed: Your favorite xenomorph in a variety of unique colorways. Available Spring 2017.
- Hellboy: Hellboy, Lobster Johnson, Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman. Available now!
- Iron Maiden: Eddie the Trooper and from Killers was shown as concept art. Release TBD.
- Masters of the Universe Wave 3: Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor, Teela, Stratos, Zodac, and Kobra Khan. Arriving this Summer.
Also on display was a new series called ReAnimated figures. This series of 3.75-inch action figures is inspired by the artwork of Batman: The Animated Series(!). Shown were prototypes for the Alien xenomorph, along with concept art for Predator, Planet of the Apes and an Alien Nostromo spacesuit figure. I find that the xenomorph lends itself well to the Batman Animated Series style guide, but the jury is still out on the rest.
