At San Diego Comic-Con it was announced that Mattel would be passing the Masters of the Universe torch to Super7 (see our story HERE). While Super7 has been dabbling in MOTU product for a few years now, such as M.O.T.U. M.U.S.C.L.E., ReAction, and other novelty items, news from New York Comic Con revealed the company’s plans for serious, collector-aimed action figures.
Launching later this year (around November, price TBD) will be an Ultimate MOTU Classics Collection. This series of action figures will debut with several core characters, each figure packed with numerous accessories and interchangeable head sculpts. Debut characters include Ram Man, Teela, Skeletor, Faker and He-Man himself. These are the same figures previously released by Mattel years ago, but never have they come so loaded. It is also a great opportunity for fans that missed these older figures to get them. Super7 will be offering the Ultimate collection for sale on their website (super7store.com), however they are looking into broader retail support for future figure releases.
Speaking of future figure releases, Super7 informed me that they will be releasing all-new MOTU figures in 2017. These will continue to be sculpted by the Four Horsemen. A new MOTU Club is also a possibility.
All will be revealed soon. Super7 said that they will be attending Toy Fair 2017 in February, the first time the company has made an appearance at the show.

Smart move. I’ve been a subscriber with Matty from day one so I already have all this stuff, but it’s great for people who want to jump on now and get started.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what new characters they’ll have for us in Feb. (army-builder Slime Pit Bone Warriors please!)
I’m ready to sub up for more NEW stuff. Hope they can keep the international shipping costs under control.
