Hot Toys continues to expand their celebrated Comics Masterpiece Series — unveiling two new figures for the Origins Collection, which draws inspiration from early appearances of beloved Marvel Comics characters.

The Iron Man (Stealth Armor) and the War Machine 1/6 scale figures both pay loving homage to their ’70s and ’80s comic book roots with bright colors and bold aesthetics, while also incorporating the expert craftsmanship, light-up features, diecast elements, and wealth of accessories we have come to expect from a deluxe Hot Toys Iron Man figure. Both figures are available for pre-order now through Sideshow.com priced at $375 each.

Iron Man (Stealth Armor)

“…my prototype “stealth” armor is performing perfectly.” – Tony Stark

Iron Man’s Stealth Armor was first introduced in 1981’s Iron Man #152. Designed with stealth as its primary feature, the suit maximizes concealment by absorbing radar detection. It makes up for a lack of firepower with a highly maneuverable lightweight frame.

Based on the classic Marvel Comics appearance, the Iron Man (Stealth Armor) features diecast parts in shimmering blue chrome, as well as “blue crystal” armored pieces that showcase all of the intricate mechanical details within. The figure also includes an LED light-up helmet (with two interchangeable masks), as well as additional LED light-up elements scattered throughout the figure’s upper body, the arc reactor, and palm repulsers.

War Machine

Introduced in the Iron Man #118 comic in 1979, War Machine has proven himself a capable hero and loyal friend many times throughout his comic run. He has assisted Tony Stark in countless near-death situations, put himself on the line to save the world, and has become a super hero in his own right.

Hot Toys’ new highly poseable 1/6 scale War Machine diecast collectible figure returns to the original paint scheme inspired by the comic. The contrasting matte black and metallic silver armor also includes clear crystal parts on the upper chest, as well as LED light-up elements on the eyes, chest, and palms. Rhodey always brings the firepower! A back-mounted machine gun and rifle are also included.
