NECA continues to surprise this year with classic horror movie announcements. Following news of the werewolf from An American Werewolf in London (HERE), NECA announces that they will also be producing an action figure of R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell) from John Carpenter’s 1982 classic, The Thing! It appears this figure will receive the “Ultimate” treatment with multiple head sculpts and accessories. The Thing is one of my favorite movies so I’m very happy to hear this. I sadly missed the set SOTA made years ago but still have my McFarlane Blair and Norris Thing monsters from the Movie Maniacs series. Hope we get MacReady with the flamethrower, along with others from the film.
