Developed Ricky Gluski and Andres Rodríguez with Lone Coconut, a creative, animation and visual effects studio based in the Dominican Republic, PLUNDERLINGS are a new 1/12 Scale Pirate Goblin Action Figure Kickstarter. Inspired by their tropical environment and w hole lot of imagination, Plunderlings are a “new concept of fantasy creature. A little bit goblin, a little bit pirate, united with infectious charm.” For me it’s all about that expressive toothy grin.

With a $65,000 goal ($46,725 already raised as of this report) and 46 days still to go, the Plunderlings’ Kickstarter appears well underway to becoming a reality. Online retailer BigBadToyStore.com is so impressed that they are also accepting Plunderlings’ pre-orders HERE.

Other talent behind the Plunderlings include a number of industry veterans, including Jason Bienvieu (Spero toys) as a project advisor and Chris Gawrych (who has worked with NECA and Four Horsemen Studios) as our production coordinator. The figures are designed by Seba Dom, accessories by GD Lake and hats modeled by Fabiano Carlos, sculptor for McFarlane Toys.

So what does a pledge of $30 get you? Your choice of one of six characters from three unique pirate themes: RAIDER, BESERKER and NOMAD. Each 1/12 scale Plunderlings figure (without a hat) stands 3.8 inches tall, features over 25 points of articulation and comes with fun accessories, 3 different heads (toothy grin for the win!), a magnetic hat and two pairs of hands (relaxed and gripping).
