After a dull teaser trailer released back in February that barely registered with Marvel fans, Sony Pictures fully redeems themselves with the official trailer for Venom.

Opening in theaters October 5, 2018, the film stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, a shape-shifting alien symbiote. Venom is intended to be the first film in Sony’s Marvel Universe, adjunct to but separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
