Hasbro always has a mega press event at New York Toy Fair where we get to see, and then show you, all of the latest toys as well as quite a bit of what’s coming in the following year. 2018 was no different and there’s quite a bit so let’s dive right in. Star Wars is going strong with movie after movie, and Hasbro has new characters as well as old on the docket. 2018 continues with The Last Jedi toys and a 3 3/4 inch four-pack of Rey, Rose, a First Order Gunner, and a First Order Driver. We also got to see Vice Admiral Holdo who’s joining the 6 inch Black Series, and there will be an adorable little two-pack of Porgs in the 6 inch scale coming in April.

The Star Wars Story Solo is bringing with it toys for collectors as well as kids with the 3 3/4 inch scale Kessel Run Millennium Falcon featuring the movie’s unique version of the craft and bringing a figure of Han. Single packed figures will include Chewbacca, Qi’ra, the Range Trooper, and the Mimban Stormtrooper with Han Solo coming with the Force Link 2.0. Nerf is along for the ride with a Glowstrike Han’s Blaster, and the hit of the season will most definitely be the Furreal Ultimate Co-Pilot Chewie in the Fall.

Recent Black Series reveals have included Rey and DJ, and hot on their heels are Solo’s Han, Qi’ra, Lando Calrissian, Tobias Beckett, the Range Trooper, and a Walmart exclusive Mimban Stormtrooper with cape (that store is also getting an exclusive Island Journey Rey). The classic movies aren’t being forgotten either, with a beautiful Hoth Leia (with goggles and tools!) coming next, and the expanded universe brings us Captain Rex. Amazon will have three more Black Series Astromechs (R2-D2 with a dirty and damaged deco, R2-X3, and R5-D8), and Clone Trooper Captain Wolffe will be at Disney Stores, Barnes and Noble, and Gamestop. Zuckuss completes the Bounty Hunters series and will be available only at Toys R Us, while the Gamorrean Guard is coming to Target.

The Centerpiece series continues with a cool Kylo Ren on Jakku scene that includes him stopping the blaster bolt with the Force, while the highly popular Vintage Collection adds Wave 2 (Death Trooper, Assault Tank Driver, Han from Solo, and another Solo character) and Wave 3 (Dr. Aphra, Cassian Andor, The Last Jedi Luke Skywalker, Range Trooper), and the Imperial Assault Tank. Last but least was a tease of a figure coming in 2019… Saelt-Marae, better known as Yakface!

And then there was the big surprise. In conjunction with the HasLab site Hasbro is looking to crowdfund the biggest EVER Star Wars toy vehicle, none other than Jabba’s Sail Barge! This thing is ridiculously big at over 4 feet long and has a complete interior with multiple rooms, tons of play spaces, a full Jabba’s lounge, all adding up to over 2.5 square feet of display area. It’s pretty costly at $500, but that brings you a bunch of bonus content too including a full book on the production of the toy and more.
