Crowdsourcing has been used to successfully launch many action figure projects. But using it to open a new toy store? That’s something  new. Texas based toy retailer Hobbies to Heroes (hobbiestoheroes.com) has issued a press release announcing the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to create the first collectible toy store in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Twin Falls, ID – As new entrepreneurial projects increasingly turn to crowdfunding to become established businesses, a new local business is being created through crowdfunding in the Idaho town of Twin Falls, this time to cater to the needs and tastes of toy collectors.

While movies and TV shows just keep growing the legions of followers and admirers of heroes such as Thor, Logan, the Transformers or Star Wars idols, Twin Falls does not currently have any store where local collectors can find the collectible action figures of their favorite characters.

“As collectors ourselves, we’ve been feeling that need in Twin Falls for a long time”, said Mr. Isenberg, the creator of the crowdfunding campaign that seeks to establish Hobbies to Heroes, the new collectible toy store to be created in the town. “In fact, toy collectors appreciate the sense of a community where they can interact, gather and exchange insights, and a collectible shop dedicated to this hobby is the perfect environment for that”.

The Hobbies to Heroes crowdfunding campaign, which is being launched today on Indiegogo, is seeking to raise $11,000 to create this new place where the community of toy collectors in Twin Falls can finally meet and turn to when looking for more figures to add to their collections.

“People will be able to easily find the most sought-after action figures, Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers, Super Sentai or other toy collectibles that they’re looking for”, Mr. Isenberg indicated. “Also, this is yet a new business that will add up to the already booming economy of Twin Falls, which is made of new business ventures that keep feeding the positive economic trend, which we also want to support”, the crowdfunder commented.

The funds raised through the crowdfunding campaign will be used to purchase the store’s shelves, glass cases, and racks), as well as to secure the store’s location and additional inventory. Backers, in exchange for their support, will be offered special deals when the store opens for business.
