Japanese collectibles maker Gecco made the long haul overseas to attend San Diego Comic-Con impressing attendees with their stunning statues. Fron and center were new pieces from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and a newly unveiled video game license, NightCry.
Following the Dark Souls release of the Souls of Cinder (read our review HERE), Gecco will be unleashing the SDCC ’17 exclusive Siegmeyer of Catarina, and Knight of Astopa, Oscar. Bloodborne will receive Doll this October and a 1/6th scale statue of Hunter (OldHunters Version) early 2018.
A new property unveiled was for Scissorwalker, the main antagonist of NightCry. Weird and cool (yes, those are a gigantic pair of scissors!), fans can look forward to this piece sometime next year.
Other items on display included an exciting variant of Metal Gear Solid’s Venom Snake, the announcement of a Cyborg Ninja statue, as well as a new license: Gantz:0 (check it out on Netflix). The latter is an exciting anime property, like a rated-R version of Tron. Look forward to 1/6th scale character statues of Reika in hard suit come 2018.
