Distributor Global Holdings was making their name known at Toy Fair 2017, showcasing a variety of cool collectibles from their various partners.
As the North American distributor for Dubai based Comicave Studios, Global Holdings is bringing quality licensed items for collectors big and small. On the high-end of the spectrum, Transformers fans are being treated to a 1/22 scale (15 inches) Omni Class die-cast figure of Optimus Prime. As feature in Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fully articulated Optimus Prime carries his sword and shield and features 50% die-cast metal content and awesome LED lights. The premium figure can be ordered now HERE priced at $429.99.
Debuting at the red carpet event for Guardians of the Gaxy Vol.2 on May 5th, will be the debut of a new Comicave Studios product category: Cube It. The small and affordable mini figures will star the cast of the new Marvel movie – each figure contained in a clear cube that can be stacked for display. The figures can also be removed and admired. Shown at Toy Fair were unpainted prototypes, including Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket and more. Arriving this June, each figure will retail for a SRP of $5.99 each. Global Holdings is still deciding on whether these will be blind boxed or not, or perhaps even a mixture of both, at retail.
Another new product line from Comicave Studios that Global Holdings is working on bringing over to the States is Podz (they can currently be acquired overseas). Similar in concept to Cube It, the Podz feature a cast of colorful Disney characters encased in clear cylinder.
Global Holdings is also working closely with Cryptozoic Entertainment on exclusive figures from their DC Comics Bombshell series. As we announced prior to Toy Fair, a Platinum Wonder Woman is one of those stunning exclusives. Most interesting is the first male to join the Bombshells series: Batman (read our reveal story HERE!). Revealed at Toy Fair was that The Joker (concept art pictured above) will be the second male Bombshell release. Global Holdings holds the exclusive rights for all Cryptozoic Bombshell male releases, so expect even more in the future (we saw plans for a few more, but our lips are sealed!). Also from Global Holdings and Cryptozoic will be a series of DC Bombshells Backpack Clips (read our story HERE). Priced at a SRP of $5.99 each, these will be sold at Toys”R”Us as open packs and at Barnes and Noble blind boxed.
Global Holdings is also working with Pop Fun Merchandising. Items include a fun series of Marvel and DC Mega-Mega Magnets™ (see our stories HERE and HERE!), as well superhero themed glassware. Also be on the look out for a wave of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 magnets (concept art pictured below, final product may vary) and much more!
Last but not least, Global Holdings continues to work closely with Kotobukiya.
