Square Enix always has some surprises when it comes to Comic-Con and this year was no different. The first figures to catch our eyes was the new Batman Rogues Gallery, a mash-up line featuring the Caped Crusader as the Joker (pricing and release TBD) and as a gruesome Two-Face (December 2016, $139.99). Very unique and cool!
Not to be overlooked, Marvel made its presence known with new Kai figures of Deadpool and Wolverine.
For video games, Square Enix is finally giving Gears of War the Play Arts Kai treatment. On display was Marcus Fenix from Gears of War 3, a welcome character, but a very odd licensing choice seeing how that game released in 2011. My money would have been on Gears of War 4, which comes out this October.
