Gecco was on-hand at San Diego Comic Con showing off their beautiful 1:6th scale PVC statues from Metal Gear Solid, Naruto and Bloodborne. Venom Snake (see our story HERE) was the newest release and looked awesome in person. Gecco’s big reveal was a pair of new video game resin statues, an all-new product category for the company. Shown were unpainted prototypes of the “Souls of Cinder” from Dark Souls lll and “Doll” from Bloodborne. These will be slightly larger than Gecco’s I:6th scale PVC statues, and because of their resin material, will cost slightly more at retail. Look for them to hit in 2017.
Also from Bloodborne was Gecco’s planned assortment of weapons – the “Hunter’s Arsenal”. Weapons included the Whirligig Saw, Pistol & Torch, and Axe. These will be sold individually and can be displayed with the Hunter figure (sold separately) or all together (wall display to be sold on its own). Look for them first quarter 2017.
Lastly, Gecco had on display the second wave of Tales from the Apocalypse plastic model kits. Series 1, which I reviewed HERE, will be followed by a Biker, Waitress (love the serving tray of severed arms!) and a Cook.
