I'm sold on Shepard and Grunt, but the character designs - not the sculpt - for Thane and Tali don't excite me. I'm REALLY enjoying the new game and can't wait to see what characters they have planned for future assortments - lots to choose from.

Yeah Shep looks good. I'm wrapping up the first game now, but I can't wait to dive into the second. I'm guessing being DC figures, these will have only peg hips. The Resistance figures from DC UNlimited appear to only have pegs hips, but I've only seen them through the packaging since I didn't play the game.
But yeah, I'm spotting 3 definite buys right now. I don't even hang out with Tali now, so I can't see myself picking her up with the others.

Hey Jeff, did they by any chance mention if Shep's helmet is removeable or if it's an alternate head? Looks like an alt to me.

Yeah not sure on Shep helmet. I'll ask DC at Toy Fair this weekend.

Wait until you dive in Mass Effect 2 - lightyears better than the first one! Lot more action-oriented, way more streamlined and alot darker in tone. Like the Empire Strikes Back of the series.

Nice!!! Shouldn't Shep's check bone be trimmed a bit?? I mean on the cover/poster, his face looks lot longer.

Perhaps, but as you said, that' s pretty much just the "poster boy" look for Shepard. The fact that you personally customize the way he looks in your game (mine is bald with cool goatee) gives them some leeway - could pretty much slap any head sculpt on there and I'd be happy. I'm more interested in the armor (I see they chose a "classic" look, though I think they should have been more bold in color and style) and weapons (again classic M-8 Avenger Assault Rifle, which is fine, but would have liked newer weapons as seen in ME2, aka, M-15 Vindicator upgrade, as well as a larger weapon selection, ie throw in a pistol, sniper rifle, etc. I mean you tote around 4 weapons at all time in the game, seems odd the fig only has one.)

Very cool looking! I would just like them to be 12-15" tall.

    Ah! That was informative

I have not played the game yet... I thought you could only select between a male or female char , didnt know you could customize the looks too! Will wait for your review and cool pictures

I don't like Thane's eyes on the figure. He seems to have pupils in the sculpt, but in the game his eyes are all black. Hopefully this may be fixed.
