Tsugumi is one of the main characters of the manga (and recent anime) Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens. The story involves the goddess Nagi awakening through a sculpture made from the wood of a scared tree. Having created the form for Nagi to return in, the boy named Jin is thrust into not only taking in and caring for the resurrected goddess, but is also charged with helping her track down and extinguish “impurities” shaped like pests. Tsugumi is the childhood friend of Jin who harbors secret feelings for her long-time friend. The cute and shy Tsugumi is captured by the artists at Kotobukiya as the third and final figure in the Kannagi Ani*Statue series.
