Following our review of the 1/6th scale AD Artworks' Devil May Cry 4: Dante action figure, AD Artworks' studio head Andy Hsu writes in to let us know of an update to the company's blog and some great news for fans looking to add everyone's favorite Demon Hunter to their 12" action figure collection.
The blog reads...
It has been a triumphant run for our Devil May Cry 4 - Dante,
we have sold out all the avialable copies, and noticed that
the market is hungry for a little more.
Therefore, as Nero is on the way to be release in December,
we decide to also release a "Slim Version" of Dante.
As it appeals, the Slim Version will lose the Blizz head and custom
base, however - at the same time - reduce the price from USD $160 to
USD $130, it will be presented in a brand new packaging, and also,
the main event, a brand new head sculpt (below)!
Yes, we have made this release to answer the request of most of the
collectors. We have redone a new head sculpt with greater likeness of
Dante from Devil May Cry 4 design.
As always, we will sent to all who have bought a copy of the Asmus Edition
a free copy of this new head sculpt. It has been our principle to
promise our customers that we will do our best to "perfect" our figure,
and not (require or) demanded to repurchase an extra copy.
This Slim Version Devil May Cry 4: Dante will be released in mid November, followed by Devil May Cry 4: Nero. Please pass on this exciting news to all your 1/6 friends.
Best
Andy Hsu
As some of you remember, one of the only (minor) complaints we had with the original version of this amazing 1/6th scale figure was the head sculpt and now it looks like AD Artworks' has paid attention to fan comments and shown an amazing commitment to making the best product available!
Be sure to check out the photos below for images of this new "Slim Version" of Dante (with new head sculpt!) and watch for more news and information on this and the new Devil May Cry 4: Nero in 1/6th scale soon!
