    TF15: Hasbro Star Wars

Kids Feel The Force With Furbacca And Blade Builders...

We know what you’re thinking, “where are all of the Episode VII The Force Awakens toys?” Well, unfortunately neither Hasbro nor any other companies had anything from the upcoming sequel on display at Toy Fair. But, at the toy giant’s press event we did get to see some other fun toys on the way in 2015! Kids are going to have a blast this year with Star Wars with lots of new Hero Mashers including Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Anakin, Bossk, Jar Jar Binks, Kit Fisto, Boba Fett, General Grievous, Zeb, and Kanan plus deluxe packs of Anakin with Speeder and Darth Maul with Speeder.

The customization trend extends also to role-play items with the new Lightsaber Blade Builders system, a fantastic interlocking format that lets kids (and adults too) create and modify their own lightsabers! They’ll start with the Jedi Master Kit with unlimited expandability through add on sets with multiple blades, complicated hilts, electronic lights and sounds, foam blades, and more.

The other big news from Hasbro is the perfect blend of two of their favorite properties... Star Wars and Furby! After a long search to find the ideal character they’ve created Furbacca, which is really Furby cosplaying as Chewbacca. The adorable critter utilizes all of the latest Furby technology with digital eyes, motion sensors, responsive play, songs, and more. This new toy will of course “speak” and sing in a Wookie dialect and will also feature a new app for you to feed and take care of it.

Meanwhile, in the Star Wars New York Toy Fair display there were some other items as well including some Rebels 12 inch figures, the Loopin’ Chewie kid’s toy, Mr, Potato Heads, Play-Doh, Command, Black Series, and more toys for the little ones.
