FIRST LOOK: NECA's Pacific Rim Series 5 - GIPSY DANGER 2.0

Control Art For All-New and Improved Jaeger...

Following our Toy Fair report on the future of NECA's Pacific Rim action figure line (see HERE), we are pleased to show off a first look at the control art for Gipsy Danger 2.0. This 7-inch scale action figure has been redesigned and retooled from the ground up to give collectors the most accurate and fun collectible of the starring Jaeger of the film. NECA sculptor David Silva's design art displays a figure(s) that will feature a larger, more screen accruate size (3.4% larger, see photo below), tons of new articulation points (double knee joints, etc), new deco (translucent orange plastic chest reactor) and best of all, interchangeable hands/arms - more precisely - the Gipsy's devastating plasma cannons!

Fans will note that the design art shows the potential for an interchangeable battle damaged head and arm. If produced, this would be another new Gipsy figure release - Gipsy Danger 2.5, if you will. As much as NECA would love to include EVERY interchangeable option in one figure, they have to control that price: $20 or less!

As mentioned, the new Gipsy Danger 2.0 action figure will be Series 5 slated for release late summer. This follows Pacific Rim Series 4 which will consist of all Kaiju: Axehead and Scunner. Pacific Rim Series 3 should be hitting shelves soon. The first half of Series 3 consists of Battle Damaged Knifehead and Trespasser. The second half, arriving about a week or so later, will star Jeager's Cherno Alpha (yes!) and Coyote Tango.
