DC Collectibles is really good at spreading news about their upcoming products, and after an announcement right before Toy Fair (see HERE) we weren't sure there would be much to cover. Thankfully, there was! A large section of their small booth was dedicated to action figures (of course), and there was plenty of coolness there. The main line of 7 inch comic book figures is getting a packaging upgrade with a new shape and graphics, coinciding with the upcoming Greg Capullo Designer Series of Batman, Nightwing, Talon, Riddler, Catwoman, Red Hood, Mr. Freeze, and Batman in Thrasher armor. Notable achievements in the second wave there include a ton of accessories for Red Hood like lots of weapons and interchangeable masks, and the huge amount of detail and articulation in the Thrasher including articulated fingers! Other New 52 figures there included Nightwing, fan requested Supergirl, and a beautiful new Batgirl.

Other figure lines on display represented animation projects like Justice League War, the Son of Batman show, and of course Batman the Animated Series! That was huge news, and the figures looked great. Up first are Batman and Catwoman, coming in a new 6 inch scale. The figures will be articulated, and DC is working hard to ensure that Batman's classic silhouette stays true even while he's able to move his arms. This series will include characters/designs from both the 1992 and 1997 versions of the show, likely each wave bringing one figure from one series and three from the other then swapping in the next one. Batman and Catwoman should arrive in November for about $25 each.

Also on deck is the Arrow two-pack with Oliver and Deathstroke. DC is of course seeing a ton of excitement for figures based on the show, and you can bet that these won't be the last. Li'l Gotham is the new figure series capturing the cute designs from the comic by the same name, with the four figures of series one arriving in September for $13 each. The Infinite Crisis line of figures looks fantastic with characters like Atomic Green Lantern, Poison Ivy, and Renaissance Batman. They will be slightly larger than DC's regular figure scale, between 7-8 inches on average, and will have limited articulation (like the Warcraft figures). They will retail for around $40. Other fun items include the Scribblenauts blind box figures as well as the upcoming wooden figures that feature interchangeable heads with different facial expressions! The biggest item in the booth was the Arkham City Clayface... which you can imagine since it's the biggest figure they've ever made! This hulking monstrosity comes with alternate bendy axe arm, removable Clayface head with Joker's underneath, and even Talia's sword which fits into a slot in his back. Finally, other new products from DC were a plush Deadman from the DC shorts and a cool porcelain doll of Death.

For a bit of fun, we even captured DC's Jim Fletcher and Kevin Kiniry having an epic thumb battle with Thrasher and Clayface!
