A company new to our coverage that we discovered in the Toy Fair 2014 exhibit hall was Excite USA. At first it looked like another company making 4 inch scale military figures, but then we got closer and realized there was something more. Excite is fully licensed by four branches of the US military to make toys, and everything is approved by the Pentagon to ensure that theirs are "real military" toys down to the firearms carried by the figures. The company began making these toys (figures, multi-packs, vehicles of all sizes, terrain, etc.) three years ago with the Marines collection, later adding their Scout Sniper and K-9. Interestingly, the Marines require that every single package has a special branded hologram sticker with unique serial number (see photo below)! In year two Navy came on board with SEAL figures and now Excite carries nine different items based on that organization. Last year they licensed the Army, and after that the Coast Guard came to them! The latter is now represented in toy form by four items focusing on the rescue aspect of their mission with figures and floating vehicles. With Marines, Navy SEALs, Army, and Coast Guard, Excite has dozens of great American military toys for kids and patriotic collectors alike, and their entire collection is designed to be museum quality but also fun and interesting for kids play.
