Welcome to the 2013 CHICAGO TARDIS! Ken here, and yes my "borrowed" Tardis has quickly taken me to Chicago during the 50th Year Celebration of all things Dr. Who. The readings on the console has quite gone mad as there is a high energy reading of one of the doctor incarnations. Nope make that two of the doctors incar...no? Can it be? Yes, we have a positive confirmation of three classic Doctors in the same convention. The first time that has been done here in Chicago in maybe 25 years!!

Yes I am back at the Westin Inn in Lombard Illinois, home of the Chicago Tardis now in its 13th year of production thanks to the hard work and efforts of Gene Smith and his wonderful staff at Chicago Tardis/ Alien Entertainment.

In attendance is 5th Doctor Peter Davidson, 6th Doctor Colin Baker, and 8th Doctor Paul McGann! Who recently can be seen on the YouTube episode "Night of the Doctor", the prequel to the Record Breaking simulcast movie "Day of the Doctor" that was broadcast on Monday November 23 in over 94 countries and in 6 continents!
What is a show without companions, and there are plenty! For starters we have Frazier Hines who played Jamie for the second Doctor era. Also Louise Jameson (Leela, 4th Doctor), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa 4th /5th Doctor), Nicola Bryant (Peri 5th / 6th Doctor), Daphne Ashbrook (Grace from the 8th Doctor), and from the new series Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones / 10th Doctor). Not to mention Dan Starkey who is Strax from 11th Doctor era and Nina Toussanint White who played Mel who regenerated into River Song!

What's Chicago Tardis without the folks from Big Finish Audio where you can find the continued adventures from various doctors voiced by the Doctors themselves.
For those of you who read the Doctor Who comic books, Tony Lee is at hand who is the writer for these fabulous books!

Fridays turnout was amazing, each of the panel rooms were filled to capacity and the demand for the photo op of all 3 doctors at the same time was overwhelming to say the least. So much that the program director had to rearrange some programming so that the Doctors can accommodate the demand.

The opening ceremonies were pretty much canceled as none of the actors could attend as they wanted to accommodate everyone that wanted the photo op with the three Doctors or autographs with the companions. It was a marvelous jester on their part as all of the fans appreciated their labor of love. Movies continue to play in two meeting rooms 24/7 showing many of the favorite Doctor who episodes.

Well that is all for tonight, Saturdays event is already sold out, which means over 2000 people will be attending. The costume party should be most fascinating as I will stay in touch for the rest of this festive weekend. Until then G E R O M I N O !!!
