First Sneak Peek at NECA's Planet of the Apes

Ape Weapons Revealed...

NECA provides a first glimpse at their upcoming Planet of the Apes license in the form of a few distinct-looking weapons. Shown as early prototypes, the weapons include a baton, revolver and submachine gun, the types wielded by ape soldiers in the movie Beneath of the Planet of the Apes HERE.

As announced at San Diego Comic Con (HERE), NECA has the figure rights for the classic Planet of the Apes movie series as well as the newer films (2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes). NECA plans to go deep with this license, figures from both the new and vintage films to be released in their own separate series. Apes will be the primary focus.
