After years of delays, the remake of the classic 1987 sci-fi film ROBOCOP is finally on track for a February 7, 2014 release. Released today is the first official trailer offering fans a good glimpse at the vision director José Padilha has for Alex Murphy and future Detroit.

Play Imaginative recently announced that they have acquired the license to Robocop (both classic and new) to produce 1/12th scale (approximately 6 inch) die-cast action figures. Early rumors also indicate that Jada Toys will producing Robocop (2014) toys in some capacity. NECA has already stated that they have no plans to extend their current classic Robocop series to include figures from the new film.
