Fans attending Hasbro's Star Wars panel at Comic-Con were in for a bit of a "squawk" when the first half of the presentation was dominated entirely by Angry Birds. But not just any kind of Angry Birds, these are the kind of the Star Wars variety, specifically the long anticipated Star Wars Angry Birds II. To tie into the game releasing in September, Hasbro is giving this line a larger number of toys and collectibles than you've already seen in the toy aisles. With the original Star Wars Angry Birds already at over 100 million downloads since 2012, it's no surprise that there's an incredibly huge market for this property.

The new app game will feature new characters and new stories, including the prequel properties, Episode 1, 2, and 3. Characters will have special powers depending on the character and for the first time ever, the toys can be teleported directly into the game. Using the device's camera and a special teleportation accessory, you can plug in your favorite Angry Birds Star Wars character in and use it to defeat the pork side. But this time around, you can also PLAY as the Pork Side! This game will take gaming and collecting into whole new levels... literally with the "Telepod" technology. Hasbro is starting off with over 30 new characters to collect and spread out into various priced line items:

-The big ticket item is the Star Destroyer, coming with Padme, Captain Panaka, Jedi Padawan, Zam Wesell, Droideka, and an exclusive Darth Vader.

-Two medium sets are the Death Star Trench Run (with exclusive TIE Pilot) and the Endor Chase (with exclusive Biker Scout).

-Three smaller sets include: Battle on Geonosis (with exclusive Battle Droid), Bounty Hunters (w/ exclusive Jango Fett), Duel with Count Dooku (w/ exclusive Count Dooku)

-To get the exclusive Chewbacca figure, you'll need to buy the Darth Vader Pig Carry Case, itself an homage to the classic Darth Vader carrying case for Kenner.

-The Jedi vs. Sith Multi-Pack comes with six figures and it will be the only place to get the exclusive Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn.

-Finally, Figure Packs are priced more appropriately since you're only getting two figures in each go-round, but this will be the only way to get the Exclusive Han Solo, R2-D2, C-3PO, Anakin Ep III, Jar Jar Binks, and Boba Fett.

Speaking of Jar Jar, the game designers actually found a way to make him completely cool - so I'm sold. Actor Ian McDiarmid also reprises his role as Emperor Palpatine for this game release so start counting down now, it's going to be a real treat!
