    SDCC13: Star Wars Black Series

Your Favorite Figures From A Galaxy Far Far Away Are All Grown Up...

The new Star Wars Black Series 6" action figures were on display at the Hasbro booth alongside the show's highly-demanded Boba Fett with Han in carbonite set. While there was no sight of any future assortments on display, fans can expect more figures to be revealed during the Hasbro Star Wars panel this Friday. In the meantime, check out our photos of the first wave of figures consisting of Luke X-Wing Pilot, Darth Maul, R2-D2 and Sandtrooper.

Gotta see these in person to see what they really look like...

So when's the first wave supposed to be in stores?

September is what's listed for Series 1 (assuming mass retail), but they are available now at many retailers, including BigBadToyStore.com. The Boba Fett I played with was nice, but personally I find them slightly subpar to say, NECA and their 7-inch scale figures. The detail is there, it's more a matter of construction. Still, I'm very happy to be receiving Star Wars figures in this scale and I'll be picking up a few characters for sure.
