Sole survivor of an alien race that dates back to the dawn of time, he travels the galaxy, searching for suitable planets so he can consume their life force. A herald always signals his coming. They are usually sent ahead to ensure the prospective meal will indeed sate their master’s appetite. His past heralds have included the legendary Silver Surfer, Firestorm and Nova. On several occasions, the heroes of the Marvel Universe have been called upon to intercede, stopping Galactus from making Earth his next meal. Each time, they’ve managed to turn him away. But how long before he returns? He hungers.
