Heads up Bioshock Infinite fans. NECA has announced that they have produced a plush replica of the Songbird exclusively for Irrational Games. Not to be confused with the "real" Songbird in the game, this Songbird plushie is a recreation of the child's toys scattered about in bedrooms and merchant stores throughout the floating city of Columbia. The Songbird plush sits at 7” tall and has an outstretched wingspan of 14”, weighs 180g, and is comprised of metal & wire (55g), PU (25g), and polyester (100g).

Pre-orders are open exclusively through store.irrationalgames.com priced at $55. It is scheduled to arrive this September.

This is simply awful. How in the hell did they screw this up so badly? it astounds me. Sure, I'll give them props for making it look like the songbird plush quite accurately, but the colour and material? just what the hell. that looks like some black leather, whereas the actually plush was obviously a brown fabric to match, oh, I don't know, the BROWN songbird. Good God. they literally had to send the in game model to the manufacturer or something and they couldn't even handle that. I'm hoping NECA decide to do a songbird plush like their big daddy plush dolls. One with an accurate colour and material.

This is what they should have made! I feel like with them offering to use that cosplayer's face as the face of Elizabeth that they could have gone to the artist that made this and given her royalties or whatever to use her pattern. Okay, so it's not perfect, but the colours look much better, there isn't a warping of size as severe as the official one etc. This fan-made item just looks miles better than what they have come up with officially.

I really hope Neca takes a crack at one. This one? It looks like it was designed by someone who only briefly glanced at a screenshot of the game and said 'sure, I'll throw something together'.

Also, I don't know if I'm just not seeing it too well, but the sizing looks way off. Looks tiny against the hands holding out his wings.
