Diamond Select Announces "The Wolverine" Minimates

Series 52 To Be Based On Upcoming Film...

Diamond Select Toys announces that they will be producing an assortment of Marvel Minimates based on this year's motion picture The Wolverine. However, the line-up for this series (Marvel Minimates Series 52) is being kept top-secret until closer to the film's release this summer.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. The Wolverine hits U.S. theaters July 26.

In addition to The Wolverine Marvel Minimates Series 52, DST is releasing a 7-inch Marvel Select action figure (see our story HERE). Sculpted by Gentle Giant and due out this fall, this figure depicts Wolverine in a look straight out of the film. The figure features 16 points of articulation as well as three interchangeable heads and six hands. The figure also comes with a sword and a detailed display base in display-ready Select packaging, with movie art on the shelf reference panel.
